Just finished the FYT orientation at Hays CISD, and Ii’m all set for the staff prep. week next week, then it’s here baby! Have been getting my classroom all set up (where is my dang projector???) and tweaking my first-day talks.

July 14th, 2009I just applied to the state for my probationary certificate. Can’t wait to get the parchment in the mail! Can’t wait to convert it to the real thing next summer!

Took the state content exam, “Business Education 6-12″ yesterday, as per my school’s request. I’m not a businessperson, so a lot of the questions made me play a guessing game, some educated. Gotta wait three weeks to find out how I did! <tick, tock. tick, tock>
Video Game Design Institute Going Well!
June 9th, 2009I just finished the second full day of a 3-day gaming design course that’s taught by the teacher that I’m replacing this fall. It’s like getting a crash-course on everything that I’ll have to teach the kids in my VGD I & II classes!
